2020 has been a weird year, right? People are staying home,practising social distancing in an effort to stop the spread of this new virus. Coping with this new reality can be nerve-racking but I have always been of the opinion that we must face any challenge lifes brings, positively! For that reason, below you will find some tips on how to pass your quarantine stress free till your next summer vacation:

BE GRATEFUL!

BE grateful!

Even though things might not seem promising, try to keep a positive posture through quarantine and be grateful for the things you have in life! This unexpected situation has given us the opportunity to make a pause and reflect on all the good things we have in our lives; our family and friends; our jobs; or even more trivial things like a walk in the park.

 

STAY ACTIVE!

Be active

Do not let yourself fall into the trap of doing nothing because you do not go to your work! Try to keep your schedule full! Now it’s the time to do all the things you wanted to do but didn’t have the time!

Start with the little things when you get up…make your bed, do the laundry, cook, etc. try to stay updated with work, even if you are not working remotely. Homeschool your children and keep them active with various activities. Remember that you wanted to exercise? What better time than in the quaratine? Do not forget to socialize, even if it’s through the social media! Seeing your loved ones will keep your spirit up!

 

HOUSE & FAMILY MOMENTS

Family moments

Focus on your house! Since you have plenty of time, redecorate or declutter! It is trully uplifting! Focus on your family! Find activities that will involve all the family and reunite you. Start eating all together again, this will reconnect you. Focus on yourselves! Read a book, exercize, start a conversation! This opportunity comes once in a lifetime, own it and appreciate it!

 

LEARN NEW THINGS

Things to do through quarantine!

It is a nice opportunity to learn new things, like start a new language or embark on anything else you might find interesting! One activity that is considered as the perfect antidote for stress is gardening. Even if you do not have a garden, by planting some flowers, you will beautify your space and you will be boosted with energy and hapiness.
