Good news are here! Get ready for vacation! Greece opens for tourists in 14th of May for more than 30 nations, including USA and UK! More good news is that no one has to have a quarantine of self isolation while entering the country. The only thing that needs to be done is to have a negative Covid test or to prove that you are vaccinated!
From next week, travellers from the entire Europian Union and 5 other countries, including UK, do not have to isolate! A senior minister said to Reuters that Greece will gradually lift the restrictions at the beginning of next week, prior to the official opening of touristic season!
Greece had already tried that measure with Israel and it worked! So, from now on, citizens from the Europian Union, United States, Britain, Serbia, United Arab Emirates and Israel are off the hook! These countries will be able to fly to the airports of Athens; Thessaloniki; Heraklion; Chania; Rhodes; Kos; Mykonos; Santotini; Corfu and two border crossings.
Passengers from these countries will have to prove that have they have two doses of Covid-19 vaccine or show a negative PCR test carried out 72 hours prior to their arrival. However, they will be subject to domestic lockdown restrictions, if any at their time of their arrival.
So get ready, book your vacation and start packing because Greece is waiting for you!!!
