Sailing experience in Lefkada

A sailing trip was always something I had in mind. So, this September we said to try our first 3-day family getaway on a sailing boat.

In the beginning, when my husband proposed to do this as a family trip, I was actually pretty reluctant. Sailing away with the kids onboard, seemed a little bit dangerous, as my youngest is only 15 months old. The sailing trip though, went surprisingly well and both of the children reacted perfectly well to these new circumstances, as everything seemed really exciting to them.

The whole procedure was really interesting as we had to be fully prepared and try not to forget anything important. For example, you really do not want to forget your baby ‘s diapers while you are in the middle of the sea. So, we packed our staff; Took as much food as we could, but not too much as space is something limited in a sailing boat; we went to the boat and we were ready to set sail.

Sailing is the real deal! When you set sail, you experience magical moments like never before. One thing is for sure, like it or not , this is an experience you will never forget.

When in sailing, you feel free. You can be in your bathing suit all day long; you can go for swimming whenever you feel like it;  and when you feel bored you can sail away and head off to a new destination.

You have the chance to disconnect from the crazy, fast-pacing rhythms of today’s life and enjoy the tranquility of nature.

There are plenty of activities you can do, such as puddle boarding and snorkeling and most of the times the relevant equipment is provided along with the sailing boat. You have the chance to explore an island by the sea and find hidden beach gems with crystal clear waters.

When the night falls you can relax on the deck with your friends or family and let a good bottle of wine accompany you!
