The coastal connection of the Ionian islands

For many years the guests of the Ionian islands could not move around from one island to another. If you were based in one island, you had to stay there with some exceptions of nearby islands, such as Lefkada to Kephalonia and vice versa.

With the fast touritsic growth of the last few years, now the connection by sea of the Ionian Islands is a reality. One that will give a much larger boost to the local economies and satisfaction to their guests. As the last ones, will have the opportunity to view and experience magical moments in more than one island.

A new era for the touristric growth of Lefkada!

On February 5, 2018, a subsidy competition was launched on the island connecting the islands, starting from Corfu. This will positively affect the tourist traffic of the Ionian Islands as they can easily move visitors from one island to another without having to travel by road.

The ports of the new line are Corfu – Paxi – Lefkada – Piraeus Ithaca – Sami Kefalonia – Zakynthos and return.

Ilida Paxos Hydrofoil announced the itineraries that will connect the Ionian Islands from the 1 May until 31 October 2018. HIGH SPEED AZIMUT JOY CRUISES will service the connection of all Ionian Islands. Prices will be announced in a few days.
